Tony was born to a Antonio and Jenna Pitti on March 8, 1968 in the ever-growing metropolis of Vice City. Antonio was apart of the Forrelli Family, Vice City's Italian Mafia, and was responsible for transporting cocaine into the veins of Vice City. Jenna was a waitress who fell for Antonio's power and money. Tony was raised as one of the Forelli and was expected to follow that path for the rest of his life.

Antonio was killed out in sea by Tommy Vercetti while trying to make a routine cocaine pickup for the Forellis. A few months later most of the Forelli family, including Don Sonny Forelli, raided Vercetti's house in retaliation and were killed in the process. Tony was 18 at the time. He took his father's place in the family in order to repay his debts to the remaining Forellis and maintain a steady income. For 26 years Tony stayed loyal to the family even as its power dwindled and dwindled until it finally ceased to exist. Tony had spent the latter eight years focusing more on the economic issues of the mafia in order to keep the men's families fed.

In 2013 the Vercettis decided to wipe the Forelli legacy out once and for all. Tony was able to escape with his life, while all of his friends and associates weren't. Tony knew that the only place he could possibly hide would be Liberty City, the city of opportunity. He packed up $1,000, his black suit, and a toothbrush and took the next flight that he could.

Tony arrived in Liberty City to find it in complete chaos. Terrorist attacks, blocked bridges, napalm strikes, and martial law were the welcoming party on the first day of his arrival. Tony's gunna like it here.
